Description:
Enkorobushi is a celebratory song sung during the launch ceremonies of newly constructed ships along the coast of Miyagi Prefecture. The same melodic pattern is repeated throughout the song. There are many theories as to the origin of the term "enkoro." The lyrics are in the form of a series of 7-5 phonetic units (the most prevalent structure in min’yō is 7-7-7-5.)
